As he pursued his education, he became fascinated with the human mind and its complexities. He went on to study psychiatry at the University of Cape Town, where he earned his medical degree. After completing his residency, he joined the Earth Space Probe Agency (ESPA) as a ship's counselor, eager to explore the galaxy and support the mental health of space-faring crews. His first assignment was on the ESPA vessel, Celestial Horizon, where he worked alongside a talented team of scientists and explorers. They traveled to distant star systems, discovering new worlds and encountering diverse alien species. During his time on the Celestial Horizon, he honed his skills as a counselor, learning to navigate the unique challenges of space travel and its impact on mental health. In 2365, he transferred to the USS Endeavour, a Federation starship that was part of the Starfleet's Exploratory Division. As the ship's counselor, he worked closely with the crew, providing support and guidance as they explored the galaxy and encountered various alien civilizations. His time on the Endeavour was marked by numerous notable missions, including their encounter with the enigmatic Tamarians and their role in mediating a conflict between rival factions on the planet Delta Vega. After serving on the Endeavour for several years, he took a brief sabbatical to focus on his own personal growth and development. He spent time on Earth, reconnecting with family and friends, and pursuing further education in the field of psychiatry. In 2380, he received an offer to join the crew of the USS Orion, a state-of-the-art starship designed for deep space exploration. As the ship's counselor, he was part of a talented team that pushed the boundaries of human knowledge and understanding.
